Heads-up for Friday: ARC Break + Lunch Plan

Hello Hackers!

Just a quick heads-up for today (4/25):

We will need to vacate the ARC for about 2.5 hours around lunchtime (1:30 – 4 PM) so the ARC staff can flip the space into banquet-style for the rest of the day.

Here's what to know:

 

Lunch:

We’ll be serving sandwiches and snacks under the Codex tents (located next to the Library).

Lunch will also still be available in the NCEC and overflow classrooms (if used).

Location change for Soldering Workshop

Due to the rain and cold, we are moving the Soldering Workshop indoors!

It will be in the Collaboratory, which is in Discovery Hall (DISC) 152.

We are also looking into having a 2nd Soldering Workshop outdoors on a sunny day in the next few weeks, but we will keep you posted on if we can make that happen!

Directions + Locations for Month of Hacking Events

We’ve got three exciting events coming up this week for the Month of Hacking:

  • Soldering Workshop (Tuesday, 4/8) — under the Plaza tent from 1 to 3pm
  • InclusiveAI Workshop (Tuesday, 4/8) — UW2 005 from 3:30 to 5:30pm
  • Resume Review with WiCyS (Thursday, 4/10) — DISC 061 from 3:00 to 5:00pm

All indoor events are located on the ground floor of UW2 (Commons Hall) or Discovery Hall. These two buildings are connected by a hallway, and we’ll have signs posted to help guide you.

Our Link Tree resource is currently down.

Our organizers had added a slide deck from Google Slides as a resource for you about team formation, but the service flagged it as inappropriate and then took our whole Link Tree down. We are sorry for this inconvenience.
