Heads-up for Friday: ARC Break + Lunch Plan

Hello Hackers!

Just a quick heads-up for today (4/25):

We will need to vacate the ARC for about 2.5 hours around lunchtime (1:30 – 4 PM) so the ARC staff can flip the space into banquet-style for the rest of the day.

Here's what to know:

 

Lunch:

We’ll be serving sandwiches and snacks under the Codex tents (located next to the Library).

Lunch will also still be available in the NCEC and overflow classrooms (if used).

 

Where to Work During the Break:

While the ARC is closed, we recommend a few solid options to keep your project momentum going:

 

  1. Designated hackathon work areas: UW2-005, UW2-031, DISC-165B, DISC-152 (Collaboratory)

  2. Library study rooms: https://cal.lib.uw.edu/reserve/bothell

  3. Find a spot using Scout: https://scout.uw.edu/bothell/study/

  4. Work from home if that’s easiest for you/your team.

 

Note: Some mentors will be available on campus in the Collaboratory (DISC-152), while you can reach out to the rest via Discord. 

 

We’ll also send an announcement via Discord today for when the ARC is ready for students to return and resume working.

 

We’ll send out a reminder and more details soon, but we wanted you to have a heads-up so you can plan ahead. Let us know if you have any questions!
