We’ve got a fantastic lineup of events next week to help you level up your skills, connect with professionals, and prepare for UWB Hacks: Save the World.

Monday, April 14
Speaker: David Gormley (Avanade)

Session Title: GenAI: Real Use Cases & Real Value
Learn how generative AI is already making an impact across industries—and how you can build real value with it in your projects. Great prep for your hackathon strategy.

Tuesday, April 15
Event Host: Bothell Consulting Association (BCA)

Session Title: Thinking Like a Consultant: Bringing Your Product to Life
Practice the mindset of a consultant and sharpen your pitching skills for success during the hackathon.

Wednesday, April 17
Speaker: Merrell Stone (Avanade)
Time: 3:00–5:00 PM
Location: DISC 061
Session Title: Mapping the Future: Using Strategic Foresight to Ideate and Plan
Before you build something great, you need a vision. In this workshop, you’ll explore how to use data to anticipate the future, with hands-on tools for ideation that you can use during the hackathon—and beyond.

About the Speaker:
Merrell Stone is the Human Systems and Strategic Foresight Research Lead at Avanade’s Office of the CTO. She specializes in helping global organizations navigate emerging technologies and imagine future possibilities, with a focus on immersive tech, conversational AI, and innovation strategy.

All events are in UW2 005 or DISC 061, both located on the ground floor and connected by a hallway.
